My precious friend, Kim Whitman, invited me on her show today, Texas Living KTXD. It was a blast. Here’s a clip - check us out. Kim ….Thanks so much for having me. xoxoxoxo

We’ve crossed the finish line! Tomorrow, October 25th, is opening day for the Holiday House. If you are in New York from October 25th to November 18th stop by and take in the amazing rooms - guaranteed to inspire. Here’s a sneak peak of my jewel box — am absolutely thrilled!

Janet Rice Interiors is both excited and honored to be participating in the 2012 Holiday House in New York City. We would like to share with you the history behind Holiday House, a historic townhouse on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Built in 1921 by William Ziegler, Jr., heir to the Royal Baking Powder Company fortune, the townhouse was built as a gift to his bride, Gladys. Ziegler’s marriage dissolved and Norman Bailey Woolworth purchased the townhouse in 1929. He subsequently bestowed the townhouse to the New York Academy of Sciences. In 2005 Leonard Blavatnik purchased the townhouse from the New York Academy of Sciences for $31.25 million, and began donating the house every fall to be transformed for philanthropic events. Iris Dankner, a breast cancer survivor, founded Holiday House at the former Ziegler mansion in 2008. A testament to top interior designers from across the United States, all profits from Holiday House are donated to the Evelyn Lauder Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Each designer selects a room, as well as a theme in which to display their personal style. Janet Rice’s room, themed “An Elegant Affair,” will feature exquisite hand-painted Gracie wallpaper, a sophisticated rug from Stark Carpet, new pieces from her eponymous furniture Collection, a sophisticated Murano glass chandelier from Lorin Marsh and a custom painting by artist Delah Brucelli. If you’re in New York from October 25th to November 18th, be sure to stop by. Holiday House is located at 2 East 63rd Street.
